Formed in 2016, Dallas-based a cappella quartet Kings Return captured worldwide attention after a series of bare-bones, viral stairwell performances. Known for a blend so rich and smooth it often mirrors a full choir, the group seamlessly fuses R&B, jazz, gospel, pop, and classical foundations—earning comparisons to iconic acts like Take 6 and Boyz II Men.

After their soul-stirring rendition of “God Bless America” went viral in 2020, followed by 10 million views for their classical arrangement of “Ubi Caritas,” the group expanded beyond their gospel roots. Their 2022 debut LP, ROVE, earned a GRAMMY nomination for Best Arrangement, Instrumental or A Cappella. The name “Kings” represents their charismatic confidence on stage, while “Return” reflects their core mission to give back to their supporting communities.

The Band Members:

Vaughn Faison: A native New Yorker now based in Dallas, Vaughn is a vocalist, songwriter, top-liner, and producer. Holding a Master’s degree in Jazz Voice, he plays guitar and piano while spanning genres from soul and R&B to folk and pop.

J.E. McKissic: Raised singing in his father's church in Dallas, J.E. brings a bright, soaring sound to the quartet. Beyond performing globally, he serves as a vocal coach, choir director, and worship leader.

Jamall Williams: A Dallas native, Jamall lends his rich baritone warmth to the group's lush harmonies. Outside of Kings Return, he frequently collaborates and performs with renowned gospel artists such as Tamela Mann and Marvin Sapp.

Gabe Kunda (Bass): Group founder Gabe originally brought the quartet together for a college recital in 2016. He is a professional voice actor, vocalist, and vocal arranger whose deep, resonant bass grounds the ensemble's intricate vocal soundscapes.
